"Lola — named after Pete Schell's daughter. Spinifex's beautifully textured Barossa Valley white blend of Semillon, Grenache Gris and Clairette — three varieties with deep roots in southern France and the Barossa's old-vine heritage."
About the Blend
Lola is one of the most distinctive and characterful white blends in the Barossa Valley — a southern French-inspired field blend of three varieties rarely seen together in Australia:
- Semillon (74%) — the textural backbone, providing citrus freshness, waxy richness and the structure that will develop beautifully with age
- Grenache Gris (16%) — the pink-skinned mutation of Grenache, adding stone fruit richness, texture and the warm generosity of the Barossa
- Clairette (10%) — an ancient southern French white variety, delivering extraordinary floral lift, mineral precision and the aromatic complexity that lifts the blend
Together, they create a white blend of extraordinary texture, complexity and food-friendly character — quite unlike anything else in the Australian market.
