About the Wine

We promised not to tell you who made it.

And we're keeping that promise.

But we can tell you quite a lot about the wine itself.

The fruit comes from McLaren Vale, South Australia, one of Australia's greatest regions for Shiraz.

The vineyard sits within one of the cooler parts of McLaren Vale, helping the fruit retain freshness and aromatic lift while still achieving the richness and concentration the region is famous for.

Following harvest, the Shiraz was destemmed and crushed before fermentation.

The wine then spent approximately:

18 MONTHS IN FRENCH OAK

before bottling.

The result is a beautifully integrated Shiraz where the oak supports the dark fruit rather than dominating it.

And now, with the additional benefit of bottle age from the 2018 vintage, it's drinking beautifully.
