About Saignée

Saignée — French for "bleeding" — is a traditional rosé winemaking method that involves bleeding off a portion of juice from red grape fermentation early in the process, before the skins have imparted their full colour and tannin. The result is a rosé of greater intensity, concentration and complexity than traditional pressing methods — with beautiful colour, concentrated red fruit flavours and exceptional structure.
