About the Wine

Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande has been one of Bordeaux's benchmark estates since its classification as a Deuxième Grand Cru Classé (Second Growth) in 1855.

Situated on the southern edge of Pauillac, immediately adjoining the vineyards of Château Latour, the estate benefits from deep gravel soils that consistently produce Cabernet Sauvignon of exceptional concentration, perfume and longevity. Its higher proportion of Merlot compared with many Pauillac estates contributes a distinctive silkiness and elegance that has become the hallmark of Pichon Comtesse.

The 2018 blend is composed of approximately:
