Vineyard & Winemaking

The WKR Vineyard lies in the heart of the Coal River Valley, one of Tasmania’s most celebrated sub-regions for Pinot Noir. Its north-facing slopes and long, cool ripening season yield fruit of exceptional depth and tension.

Winemakers Justin Bubb and Anna Pooley are renowned for their refined, site-driven style. Grapes are hand-picked, wild-fermented, and matured for 10 months in French oak (≈ 30% new). Minimal intervention allows the vineyard’s energy and character to shine through with purity and focus.

Coal River Valley, Tasmania – a cool, dry valley renowned for its Pinot Noir of structure and aromatic lift. The combination of ancient soils, long growing season, and maritime influence creates wines of incredible balance and longevity.
