Critical Acclaim
-
95 Points – Halliday Wine Companion
“A pristine example of Fiano done right. Vibrant fruit, textural complexity, and pinpoint balance. Proof that Jasper Hill’s touch extends far beyond Shiraz.”
Vineyard & Winemaking
Produced entirely from estate-grown Fiano at Jasper Hill’s Heathcote vineyards, planted on the region’s ancient Cambrian soils.
The name Lo Stesso (Italian for “the same”) nods to the variety’s Southern Italian roots and its perfect adaptation to Heathcote’s climate.
Winemaker Ron Laughton employs minimal intervention: hand-picking, wild fermentation, and aging on lees in stainless steel to enhance mouthfeel and complexity without masking the purity of fruit.
Region
Heathcote, Victoria — a region known for its red Cambrian earth, producing wines of vibrancy and natural balance.
The warm days and cool nights create ideal conditions for Mediterranean whites like Fiano, allowing the grape’s hallmark texture and acidity to shine.
