Historic Vineyard • Immense Depth • World-Class Barossa Shiraz

“From vines planted in 1905, this is a monumental Shiraz — profound, complex and beautifully sculpted. A wine of heritage, purity and sheer Barossa power.”

Tasting Notes

Appearance:
Opaque black-purple with a radiant, glass-staining core — a hallmark of old-vine density and concentration.

Aroma:
Intense and deeply layered aromatics of blackberry, mulberry and dark plum, interwoven with licorice, cocoa, cracked pepper, violet florals and charry French oak.
A rich, brooding nose that unfolds continually with air.

Palate:
Pure old-vine power.
The 1905 Shiraz bursts onto the palate with black fruit intensity, plush texture and remarkable amplitude.
Expect waves of:

  • blackberry and black cherry

  • dark chocolate and espresso

  • allspice, anise, and crushed rock minerality

  • subtle savoury earth from ancient Barossa soils

The tannins are fine, structural and beautifully integrated, supporting the wine’s richness without dominating it.
The palate is broad yet balanced — big flavour with classical shape.

Finish:
Long, deep and authoritative, tapering with dark fruit, spice and graphite-like mineral length.
A finish worthy of its old-vine pedigree.
