Tasting Notes
Appearance: Bright straw-gold with green flashes — rich and luminous.
Aroma: Ripe pear, quince, and lemon zest mingle with white pepper, chamomile, and crushed stone.
Palate: Full-bodied and textural yet perfectly balanced. Layers of orchard fruit, citrus, and savoury spice glide across a chalky mineral core. Fine acidity lifts the depth of flavour.
Finish: Long, concentrated, and pure — minerality and spice linger in elegant harmony.

Vineyard & Winemaking
The Ried Lamm Vineyard, at the base of the Heiligenstein hill, is considered one of Austria’s Grand Cru sites for Grüner Veltliner.
Its deep loess and loam soils over weathered sandstone create wines of remarkable depth, spice, and minerality.
At Weingut Hirsch, biodynamic principles and minimal intervention guide every step:
-
Biodynamically farmed fruit from mature vines
-
Hand-harvested and whole-bunch pressed for purity
-
Spontaneous fermentation in large neutral oak (Stockinger casks)
-
Aged on lees for texture and complexity
The result is a wine of grandeur and precision, combining the richness of Lamm’s soils with the restraint and clarity of Hirsch’s touch.
